This boat was extremely difficult to research, but I did find some interesting facts. She was built in 1997 at the Kvaerner Shipyard in Norway and was designed and built specifically to race around the world. The Kvaerner (also called Innovation Kvaerner) was entered by Norway in the 1997-1998 Whitbread Race and skippered by a young skipper, Knut Frostad. It came in fourth. Kvaerner was recently sold to Hilary Cook and Peter Hopps, and was the first official entry in the World Cruising Club's Corinthian Challenge 2006-2007 round the world race.
